Excellent Tour As this was our first trip to Scotland we were not sure what to expect but wanted to learn about the Edinburgh and it's past. It was our son Christopher's 21st birthday. Andy showed up early and gave us a warm greeting. We hopped in the van and took off. From the start Andy was talkative and full of information and history. Andy has a vast knowledge of Scottish history as well as information on just about every historical building in Edinburgh. When we ask our son what the highlight of his trip was,he always gets back to this tour. Honestly, we were all a bit sad when it ended. Andy has his preplanned route but was more than willing to make changes. We had heard about the Colinton Tunnel and he took us there and walked us through giving historical info. We could not have asked for a better tour guide. Thanks Andy!!

Once in a lifetime tour Andy was amazing! He was so accommodating and easy to work with. We had a wedding and he picked us up and took us to the wedding destination. But we wanted to stop at a few places along the drive. He was so easy to work with in picking what places made the most sense and made sure everything timed out well so we arrived to our final destination on time. We will be using him again next time we go to Scotland and recommending him to all our friends and family!

A Perfect Overview of Beautiful Edinburgh Truly enjoyable, very professional and so entertaining describes our 4-hour tour with Andy. You’ve hit the jackpot if he’s your guide. Not only does he know his history but presents it in a way that seems more personal and relatable. Tips on where to shop for true Scottish goods, attractions not to be missed and restaurants that you probably should consider. What an enjoyable time! We had the most enjoyable time with Andy. He was a wealth of information about each of the places we traveled to and brought us as close to points of interest as you could get in a vehicle, which was exemplary, as one in our party is handicapped. Shore excursion with Edinburgh Cab Tours We came to Edinburgh via cruise ship in early September. After researching a lot of private companies, we reached out to Edinburgh Cab Tours based on positive reviews and itinerary. So glad we did. In the months leading up to our visit, we communicated extensively with Andy, the boss. He offered detailed travel advice. For example, he suggested we shelve our original plan to split time between Edinburgh and St. Andrews, saying it would result in a whirlwind tour that would leave us dissatisfied. We opted for a leisurely journey to St. Andrews that included stops at two quaint fishing villages. Our day with Andy was an absolute joy. He was extremely knowledgeable and gave us plenty of time to explore St. Andrews — the legendary golf courses, the university, the cathedral. His lunch recommendation was spot on and he offered to take many group photos. Most importantly, he was fun, a pleasure to talk to and answered all our questions — even the daft ones. He picked us promptly at the port and returned us to the ship with time to spare. Our travel group agreed the time spent with Andy was a highlight of the cruise. Highest recommendation! Custom Tour Edinburgh to Glasgow Andy led the four of us on a custom tour from Edinburgh to Glasgow with stops at Stirling Castle, Deanston Distillery, and a walk up Conic Hill. Andy is an excellent tour guide and his deep knowledge kept us entertained for the entire trip. I highly recommend him for any of the tours he offers.

Private tour of Edinburgh Andy gave us an amazing tour of Edinburgh. We saw all the important spots and his knowledge of the history was amazing! I definitely would recommend! I learned so much during the tour! As we were coming in on a cruise, he picked us at the ship and brought us back.

Although this tour was only my wife and I, Andy's vehicles are large and comfortable for groups and he has water/snacks onboard for the comfort of the passengers. For me it is worth a mention that Andy is not only a safe driver, but also very smooth. I feel the effects of motion-sickness easily and driving style has a big impact. I can assure you that everything was smooth and not once did I feel the effects of my motion-sickness. Each stop was well thought out regarding length of visit as well as stops for lunch. Andy also prepared several alternate choices for stops and lunch venues so that we could decide on the day how we wanted to proceed without interrupting the flow of the tour. At the end of our tour on the way to drop us back at our AirBnB, Andy was able to recommend several restaurants and also reliable tourist shops in the city center so that we could have a nice meal and find quality souvenirs at reasonable prices. Overall, I would highly recommend Andy and Edinburgh Cab Tours for your visit to Edinburgh and surrounding areas. A must-do in Edinburgh! Andy is a brilliant tour guide. Extremely knowledgeable about Edinburgh, right down to having answers to left of centre questions about the city. The tour was very well structured, and gives a good sense of the history behind Edinburgh; contemporary Edinburgh; and was full of little tidbits we had no idea about. Andy himself is a delightful guy, well presented and professional. You would struggle to find a better, more comprehensive private tour than this. Wholeheartedly recommended.
